Sanctuary in Davos November 1, 2007

After receiving DCI Plodd’s threatening letter, I have been forced to flee the country and seek sanctuary in Davos Switzerland. Why Davos? Because the town mayor is a doubleganger for David Cameron and the daily newspapers are more edible!
Today is a Red Letter Day, all my life, people have pointed at me in the street and commented “He nearly saw a Rabbit”. At about 11.28 this morning……. I nearly saw a Rabbit. Well I know what you’re thinking! “His life is complete. If only I had nearly seen a Rabbit”. I suppose some of us are blessed, whereas the masses just have to hang on in there and hope Dana will make a come back with “All kinds of everything”. Do you ever sense the people around you are all wearing white coats and carrying large butterfly nets? Anyway, enough of my triumphs, what I really wanted to inform you about is my ongoing concern about the height of the skirting board in my en-suite bathroom! 3.5″ is all very well but of course I want to be part of civilized society and blend in with everyone else, so I’m going to have to bite the bullet and raise the funds the obvious way, pimping a friends attractive wife in Cerne Abbas, for the 4.0″ replacements. Having made that decision, I need to rest. Traa for now. Hugo.
